Swimming By The Riverside
Some dogs are scared of water but most of them actually enjoy swimming a lot. Rob Osborn and his family, together with their Staffy-Bulldog mix named Max were enjoying a day at the beach. They didn’t expect that Max would become a hero at the end of the day.
It was a sunny day in Port Noarlunga and a lot of people were enjoying the beach. Max was swimming by the riverside when Rob saw a young boy who was struggling to swim. He was getting sucked into the river by the strong currents, going towards the big rocks.
Max Jumps To The Rescue
Nevaeh Osborn also saw what was happening and thought that the little boy would drown if someone didn’t do anything to save him. Rob ran towards the waters and was ready to swim towards him but then he saw that Max could actually help the boy faster.
Rob then asked the boy to keep shouting Max’s name and grab onto his life jacket. Luckily, the pooch was able to hear him and swam towards the kid. Then the boy finally held onto Max’s vest and they paddled their way back to shore.
The boy was shivering and seemed very shocked about what happened. It took him a while before he was able to calm down. But thanks to Max, no harm was done. If the pooch wasn’t there to help, things could’ve turned out differently.
The kid’s mother was very worried and couldn’t stop thanking Max and Rob for their efforts to rescue her child. The young boy is also very grateful especially to the doggo who swam his way out. Max pulled him out of the currents and brought him back to safety.
Australian Dog Hero
Rob was caught in the moment after all that had happened and wasn’t able to ask for their contact numbers. He would like to catch up with them and know how the boy was doing. Meanwhile, Max will be rewarded with lots of treats and belly rubs for being the hero of the day.
